The Cycle Licensing Agency is the next generation of bicycle security, allowing for a number plate style application to be applied to a non removable, strengthening bar on the bike. The registration number is then entered on a central database along with the owner's details.
This level of security acts as an excellent anti theft mechanism meaning the thief would need to remove the strengthening bar with the registration number on it in order to make it untraceable, but one the strengthening bar has been removed the bike is rendered useless and consequently worthless.
